Once you learn to breathe, you will learn to live.
— Letters of Mindfulness

Mindfulness is connected to your breathing, by learning how to do it, it will bring you back to being present in the moment.

Having consciousness about becoming mindful will be a big stretch, you have to want it.

Most people breathe with their chest, unconsciously as part of not inflating your lower tummy and instead doing that with their chest which will appear as if the person is more confident about himself and as a way to attract the opposite sex or show a stronger personality. By learning how to breathe you have to focus on the lower part of your tummy (your diaphragm).

Every time your emotions switch, your breathing pattern will also change dramatically, the frustration, the anger, the fear, the sadness they will accelerate your breathing pattern. If you learn to focus & change the way you breathe, you will calm your body, letting the emotions pass and will bring you back to this moment, to being present, to a clearer mindset.

Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts. Whenever your mind becomes scattered, use your breath as the means to take hold of your mind again.
