Give Time To Your Own Mind

We are often lost in our thoughts involving work and monetary income. Would it be so wrong to give ourself times to work on our feelings and our mind?

Society has defined how everyones lives should be focus on monetary results. In consequence our feelings do not matter as long as the financial goal is achieved. As a result, we get depressed if we do not overcome that set goal and those struggles can be triggered by past incidents.

To be at peace and achieve what you set as a goal, you will have to get rid of what you don't want in your life, that also means attitudes and beliefs.

This will take some time to work on, the changes will not be from one day to the other.

To mention a few examples:

1.- The person that grows without a member of his family, been a father figure, a mother figure, lost a brother or a sister will always have it affecting on his future relationships and the way that he connects with other people. A way to work this is to talk about the events with the family, let it all out till the moment that you cry and accept it. Changing the emotion from sadness to a mentality of thanking for having them in your life.

2.- The person who lives through an accident which could have involved having a few of operations & been hospitalized. All of this generates feelings, sentiments that will also affect your future in different ways, all of those events will hold you back and you won't be able to be at your best. If a depression is generated because of this accident it could trigger patterns generating the same results with similar incidents. If you wanna stop it you have to understand everything that happen at that accident and speak to anyone involved on it, let it out, let it go. You will need to understand what you felt at that time with the knowledge and comprehension that you can have on this day.

3.- If you recently lost someone you love, it will all trigger emotions, why do we fear death so much? Do you cry when someone is born, it belongs to the same process, if someone leaves us and past to another life if those are your beliefs. Yes you can grieve but at the end we must be happy of having met them, of sharing our time with them.

There are ways to avoid working on our past such as getting addicted to work, to be constantly surrounded by people without letting some time for ourselves, drugs, alcohol could generate a bigger depression and struggle. 

On the other end of the spectrum, exercise and sports will release endorphins, stimulating the release of dopamine and serotonin giving you a sensation both on your mind and body of feeling overpowered and complete but your past will still be there and will cause difficulties and prompts that won't allow you to have inner growth in your life till you confront it. That's why exercise has also become a trend, it is also the exit for people that are suffering and it becomes an addiction. One of our major issues for this solitude is the digital mobile phones and apps. We are supposed to be closer but we are further than ever, getting involved in mostly relationships that are fake and banal.

Moving from a country, city or even apartment to another, doesn't mean a new beginning, you will still carry anything that burdens you.
